What is the Fund?
The Fund is a memorial established in honor of Bryan Kroeger, created to give unexpectedly and graciously with the heart of Jesus. Its purpose is to support kids and families who are in need—or simply longing for opportunities and experiences that would otherwise be financially out of reach.
Through this Fund, hardships are eased and doors are opened to meaningful experiences that enrich childhood, build hope, and create lasting memories. Above all, the Fund exists to reflect Bryan’s heart for people and his desire to see lives drawn closer to Jesus through acts of generosity, compassion, and love.
What and where does the money in the fund get used?
The money in the Fund is used to give in practical, thoughtful, and grace-filled ways, always with the heart of Jesus and the intent to quietly bless kids and families when it matters most. Uses of the Fund may include, but are certainly not limited to:
Letter jackets, class rings, and other school-related items that help students feel included and celebrated
Scholarships for Christian camps, retreats, or faith-based activities
Support for needs connected to the Phillips County Fair, including youth livestock projects and participation costs
Direct gifts to other trusted community funds or organizations serving local needs
Additional ways the Fund may be used include:
Christmas gift giving through donations to local nonprofit organizations or families in need
Covering fees for sports, music, art, or extracurricular activities
Providing equipment, clothing, or supplies required for school or community programs
Helping fund special experiences—trips, events, or opportunities—that create meaningful childhood memories
Responding to unexpected hardships or urgent needs as they arise
All distributions are guided by prayer, discernment, and a desire to honor Bryan Kroeger’s legacy by loving people well, giving generously, and pointing hearts toward Jesus.
Who decides where the money will be spent?
The fund has a small board of three members who make decisions as to where the funds will be dispersed.
What is the scope or reach of this fund?
To begin, the Fund’s reach will focus on Phillips County and the surrounding areas of Northeastern Colorado. This local focus allows the Fund to serve the community Bryan called home and to make a meaningful, personal impact.
As the Fund grows and resources allow, the scope will be thoughtfully re-evaluated with the possibility of expanding its reach in the future.
